Slit lamp signs of epithelial edema, epithelial mi- crocysts, corneal staining, limbal injection, bulbar injection, tarsal conjunctival abnormalities, corneal neovascularization, and corneal infiltrates were graded using an ordinal, text-based scale from which numeric grades in integer steps were assigned: 0 (no finding), 1 (trace), 2 (mild), 3 (moderate), and 4 (severe). Results from the dispensing visit (baseline) and the follow-up visit (after wearing Bausch + Lomb Ultra) are summarized in Table 6. There were minimal findings (no findings or trace or mild findings) at both visits. PROVIDING A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE Discomfort, dryness, and blurred vision continue to challenge the contact lens wearer. In today's digi- tal world, contact lens performance must be sustained Bausch + Lomb Ultra lens at dispensing, and with the Bausch + Lomb Ultra lens at a 2-week follow up visit. In-office measures demonstrated similar results between best spectacle-corrected VA and the VA with the Bausch + Lomb Ultra lens: better than or equal to 20/20 for 92.9% of best spectacle-corrected eyes, 96.3% of Bausch + Lomb Ultra lens corrected eyes at dispens- ing, and 92.8% of Bausch + Lomb Ultra lens corrected eyes at follow-up (Table 4). Eyecare practitioners assessed the fit of the Bausch + Lomb Ultra lenses and reported the lenses to be fully centered on the cornea for 92.5% and 95.0% of the eyes at the dispensing and follow-up visits, re- spectively. The remainder of the lenses provided full corneal coverage with slight decentration. There were no reports of lens adherence at either visit. Lens move- ment was reported to be >0.2 mm and <0.6 mm in DIGITIAL DEVICE USE DISPENSING VISIT FOLLOW-UP VISIT Condition None Trace Mild Moderate Severe None Trace Mild Moderate Severe Epithelial Edema 100 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 99.6 0.4 0.0 0.0 0.0 Epithelial Microcysts 99.6 0.4 0.0 0.0 0.0 99.6 0.4 0.0 0.0 0.0 Corneal Staining 79.2 20.8 0.0 0.0 0.0 77.2 21.5 1.3 0.0 0.0 Limbal Injection 92.7 7.3 0.0 0.0 0.0 95.6 4.2 0.2 0.0 0.0 Bulbar Injection 87.0 13.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 89.4 10.6 0.0 0.0 0.0 Tarsal Conjunctival Abnormalities 76.8 23.2 0.0 0.0 0.0 76.6 23.4 0.0 0.0 0.0 Corneal Neovascularization 98.5 1.5 0.0 0.0 0.0 98.9 1.1 0.0 0.0 0.0 Corneal Infiltrates 100 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 99.8 0.2 0.0 0.0 0.0 MOVEMENT DISPENSING FOLLOW-UP <0.2 mm 4.2% 3.6% <0.2 mm and <0.6 mm 94.7% 96.4% >0.6 mm 1.1% 0.0% Adherence 0.0% 0.0% SLIT LAMP FINDINGS LENS MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT T A B L E 6 T A B L E 5
